What is Mecako?
Mecako opens the archive and puts it on a tee. Naga, Godna, रफ़्तार, David पुत्र: every graphic carries a story worth retelling.
We are not trying to make clothes look "ethnic". We are taking Indian graphic memory seriously: signs from walls, tattoos, folk marks, old motifs and local visual systems that already carried identity before streetwear had a name.
Why it exists
Roots without costume. Streetwear without borrowed identity.
A lot of clothes speak in imported references. Mecako starts closer home. The idea is simple: India already has a deep visual archive, and most of it is not sitting inside modern everyday wear.
